Considering buying Swift Elite as it has some video options I am interested in. Particularly interested in changing backgrounds on the fly and maybe including a video background throughout the playlist.

Has anyone used it? Pros and Cons?

Thanks

No haven't. But I do wonder this -- why would anyone hide their lyrics with a background? This makes it much more difficult. Perhaps if you are the "glued to the screen" type, you can handle it. But I don't usually look much, and backgrounds drive me batty. I glance over and can't pick the words out of the graphics. It's worse when the graphics are animated.

I too am wondering why someone would want the backgrounds. I use JustKaraoke and turn off the backgrounds because they are too distracting. I believe you can do the same with Swift Elite.

Hmmm, that's very interesting. I am thinking exactly the opposite. I always wonder why people wants plain lyrics with no backgrounds. It always seems more alive to look at the lyrics with backgrounds because without the backgrounds it's almost like having a paper with the lyrics with me. I guess different people have different tastes.

Same here, I personally love these backgrounds

I'm not looking at the lyrics. I'm into the song, but when you do 250 different songs it is nice to be able to glance over and get a reminder of what the lyrics are every so often.

Do 250 songs? You mean as a KJ? Maybe as a KJ, looking at the same video all the times gets boring and with that many songs. But when you are just a regular guy who only sing a song once in a while. Having the background probably makes me less nervous too. Especially when people can look at me singing but not the whole time if there's something on screen for them to look at. Then they'll just listen and enjoy the song along with me.

I guess we are just different. I don't care what's on the screen other than the words. Those are what I am interested in -- I want to see who did the song, who wrote it, and how long it is. Pretty pictures on the screen I could care less about.

And yes, I do 250 songs as a singer. I practice a lot, and KJ a few shows too. 8-)

Alright boys and Girls

Now can anyone answer my question? :D

I agree with both points of view:
1. As a KJ the graphics are a distraction.
2. As a guest who is coming up to sing, the graphics are not that irritating, since you only get to see them while you are singing.

I would not put anything with high/ fast movement there so as not to distract the singer.

Has anyone used the software and would you recommend it?

Thanks
