I posted this in KJ section by accident and not sure link is working to justiafor lawsuit against kandy store, lol but those of who wish not to believe or get your kicks out of demanding links if its not right I'll get it right for those of you that consistently wonder why the sellers of hd's aren't gone after, they are but it takes sometimes yrs.

Dan Stern aka Bill Benee the most prolific seller of pre-loaded hard drives on craigslist, e-bay, sell.com advertising 100,000 songs was served with warrants from FBI on about March 10. 2010. the result of a couple of year investigation, I can only give you the court and docket Number and I know that won't be enough for some of you but, oh well
Central Districk of Cali. Docket 10 case NO. 0496m Judge Patrick Walsh.

But again, a suit against a prolific pirate. Not someone running 1 computer that owns every song on a physical disc that is in the computer. Still have not seen one of these cases to date in any way, shape, or form. You keep bringing up the cases against legit pirates - we know these people should be going down. Have you once brought up something that a computer user that actually owns every original disc where they are getting nailed? Not one to date. They do not exist!

Well i hope they nail all of the distributors and really cut out the biggest competition to our jobs.

I don't think there have been any convictions of any kind or 1:1 settlement/agreements because none have gone to court yet, correct?

I thought that many people in a few states have been served but actual court dates start at the end of May....? I COULD BE WRONG.....anyone got any facts??

Not a matter of getting kicks--just a matter of not wanting to jump on the speculation wagon without seeing the actual facts.

Let's see if anything is actually done about this. That store in Ohio is a name that has floated around for years over this type of stuff. No other manufacturer has filed any lawsuits on this.. So what's the point.

More links on investigative prosecution of sellers of harddrive. It's old news about Stephen Douglas Freeman and Tracy Brock of Minnesota. I'm just wondering whatever happened to both. Trial? Prison Term? Plea deal agreement?

Do we need another thread on the same topic? There is already a thread on this and it is still on page one. Next time please use existing thread unless it is a really new topic. I feel like locking this one.
