Do you own any equipment, music, software?

Do you have existing DJ gear?

Can you sing?

Welcome to the forum. I commend you for wanting to go the legal route. You'll sleep better at night.

If your friend is serious, he may want to hire an experienced karaoke host(no disrepect to you). Check out the shows in your market . See whats working and whats not. Do your research before making a huge investment. It takes thousands of dollars in equipment and software not to mention the countless hours to produce a good karaoke show.

If you still wish to proceed, there are too many things to discuss in just one thread. Like Jian said, read past discussions and you can always use the search feature before posting on a subject(some subjects have been beat to death)

You'll find for the most part, this is a friendly forum and people will be glad to help you out.

Good luck, Mojo
