I know in theory All of the sound choice songs are either in the spotlight series, bricks or foundations. If one somehow managed to buy all of the spotlights+sets would they have the complete soundchoice song list? Of course this would have to include the re-released disks with different songs.. My question is are all of the songs on the star series or spotlight select series redundant? I know most are, but are there exceptions? Also how much redundancy is there within the spotlight disks themselves in terms of having the same song on multiple disks.... |

To further confuse the issue, there have been several different editions of the Foundations & Bricks with different songs on some discs. |

Some of the Spotlights were compiled with songs already released within the series ie full artist discs or best of discs and occasional re-releases. They did put some songs that weren't available on the Spotlights in the Star (which were more geared for home users originally that had much of the Spotlights broken down into 8 song discs in artist, specialty and general releases), Brick & Foundation sets (geared for the beginning user containing what is generally looked at as the most popular karaoke songs, the Bricks were just add ons to those sets, but much of the Bricks weren't so much on the other sets) so if you bought the complete set of everything, yes you would be getting duplicates - in some songs, at least 3 or 4 times over. But again there are some songs that were exclusive to the Star, Foundation & Bricks that never made it to a Spotlight disc. I couldn't tell you which ones. |

Mainly due to licensing changes. |

No you wouldn't have them all because there are also Powerpicks and Star series, some of those tracks never made it to spotlight or foundation series. |

So if you get sued and have to settle with SC, you are expected to purchase the whole series. Do you get every disc from every series? (Assuming it does not include the discontinued ones). The Foundations, The Bricks, The Star, The Powerpicks, The Spotlight? The Specialty Discs? That's a lot of discs, but nothing like the number of Chartbuster Discs. |

no you just get what is currently in print and available...aprox 25% of the entire SC products. I think I heard it is about 5000 songs KJAthena |
