Post subject:  Good Deal or Not ?

Found this set for sale, I already have about 2000 of the songs listed as coming in this set, for my initial start-up,(due to all the digital debate we decided on a straight cd based format for awhile).
I like this set and the songs available, plus when we transfer to digital(with all cd's on hand in a case at all times) it makes for a good library.
What I wanted to know from you Experienced Ones is if the price..... $270.00..... is fair, and if the brand.......... DK Millinium/NuTech........ are decent quality.
I'm c&p'n the ad so let me know what you think. Peace, S.

You will need a SCDG player, like CAVS in order to play these discs. Before buying the discs, I would look at purchasing the player CAVS 203G. It (usually) comes with at least one of these sets included. The Nutech 1,2,3 sets aren't too bad, and as you said, it does give you alot of songs to start out with. Later, you can convert them to mp3+g to put on computer. I think the Millenium sets would be nice also. I would look at whichever set benifits YOU the most, then buy the player with that set.

I have both the DK and the NuTech SCDGs you mentioned. The price seems good to me. I paid $230 for just the DK set about 16 months ago. As far as quality, the DK set is better. I'll only use the NuTechs when I don't have another version.

Personally, I really dislike the Nutech. I'll only use them if I have no other brand. I find many of the songs sound "hollow" and have no depth to them. I'm ambivalent about the DK. I like the arrangements and the sound quality, but the "pan flute" drives me nuts. Others can ignore the pan flute (lucky them!) and really like the DK sets. Like Serenity said, you'll need the correct player to play the SCDGs. The price is definitely good, though.

You would need a supercdg player or a converter like that from www.roxbox.net to use this but it is a good deal. was considering that set for myself but have decided to go with the Chartbusters essential 1-6 and the nutech sets.

You can do better on these sets on Ebay. Millenium 1 + 2 for 116.00. Nutech 1,2,=3 for 79.00-99.00. I would buy the Chartbuster 1-6, it's better quality, and a better deal. You'll STILL have to gat the player though.

If he has a computer the program I linked to will convert it to mp3+g. Then he can play it on a computer. Actually you can play those discs on computer as well if you have the CAVS software player.

with the converter he can convert to mp3+G and then with PowerKaraoke he can create discs. A lot of work for him. but I would go the pc route myself if I were just starting out.
But if he doesn't want to do all that work then yes he needs a cavs hardware player to play the discs. I am certain that he won't be happy with the load time of the player on regular cdg's and locating the tracks on the SUpercdgs.

Am already using a CAVS player, and got @ 2200 songs on cd through them, bought the updated system with USB for transferring all music to External Hard drive when I decide to get into that, Thanks for the info on the Chartbusters 1-6, will look into it!! As I've stated, am not a pro, but want to have decent quality anyway.......... Thanks for all your replies! Peace, S.
