I heard about this, this morning while listening to my local country radio station. The story was told on the air by Trace Adkins who was in attendance at the party. The other notable activity at the party that he mentioned wasre the couple shooting off their new shotguns that they had received as engagement gifts.
But back to the karaoke --- Frankly I seemed surprised that karaoke was in play and just how much so many people got into it. But he pointed out after Reba took a turn most everybody was hooked!
BUT HERE ARE THE MAIN REASON I WAS INTRIGUED. because IMHO
Clearly everybody who enjoys singing enjoys karaoke; it's undeniable. Shouldn't we be using that fact to promote karaoke?
People sang in order to have fun
People who everybody already knows can sing, sang to have fun, not to impress anyone and not to be an entertainer during their "moment in the sun"
People weren't concerned about the manuf of the track, they were just having fun
People weren't worried about the microphone they were using, they were having fun!
People weren't worried about practicing and nailing the song at home, they were having fun!
no divas, not discs, no mics, no questions, no complaints, no problems
Yeah but I heard Reba brought her own discs and Miranda refused to play them. Trace said that the Shure's that Blake put out weren't good enough and brought his own Neumann which really pissed the couple off too.
Sorry I just couldn't resist.
