I never have as I do not know the legalities of them. They claim if you buy a license from them you can use commercially. So far they really haven't had much I need to get - well that i've researched heavily anyway.

I have yet to purchase anything, mainly because I prefer discs and they haven't got anything I want that isn't available on discs. I have a total of 3 downloads I bought for a regular singer. No discs because it's download only. Jonathan Coulton songs...If karaoke-version comes out with the few rarities I'm looking for and the new Reba song (at least until I can get a disc), I will definitely purchase, though.

Does anyone know how long it takes from the time a song is in production to the time it's ready?

One thing they do have is a spreadsheet, with all of their tunes on it, so you can search or sort by language, title, artist, number or whatever, on your own system, using Excel, and not have to spend time searching on the Internet. They have nearly 27,000 tunes, so I consider it a useful resource, for non-commercial use, anyway.

What sort of license did you speak to them about? I've only asked them about redistribution in CDG, for which I was quoted €500 for a custom track, and €200 just to purchase the rights for an existing track. This, however, did not include rights to anything but the soundtrack itself, none for the original material. Since they are a French company, I doubt that they could handle performance, mechanical, synch, or any other rights that may have to be purchased to distribute in any other country, but, you could always shoot them an email and ask them.

Johnathan Coultan you can actually buy directly from his website in MP3+G format.. Close to 60 of his songs which are at a very good price of $1 each

http://www.jonathancoulton.com/store/karaoke/

I think I have around 35 of them so far...

As for how long it takes well Sometimes it takes a week or so depending on how hard the arrangement is

But there are times like one I've been waiting almost a year for, which is The Dan Band - Abba Medley

although when they made SUgarland - Stuck like Glue it was available 4 days later.

So your reba track I'd expect it to be prolly by next week.

A few of my requests are close to being put on the production list right now as well including one of Lonman's requests Tony Terry - With you

Alice on the 2nd page is my ALice in Chains Request
and yes they are making More and More Richard Cheese tracks which there is no complaining about, as well as they just released Hedwig & the angry inch - Wig in a box which I know alot of people has been wanting hedwig for a long long time,

That's exactly where I bought them from, and as I stated, it was as a special request. I much prefer discs, but I will make an exception now and then.
