Hey y'all, I'm going to be headed to Jacksonville in a few weeks on business, since the KJ Directory seems to be mal-functioning at the moment, I thought I'd check here. Anyone hosting in that area or have suggestions about good places to go for Karaoke? Looking for a nice club or bar that features Karaoke. |

I dunno about karaoke.. but whenever i'm in Jacksonville, I like to stop in to the Freebird Cafe. Lots of great live music, always a good time. Owned and operated by the late great Ronnie Van Zants widow. And perhaps of interest.. their sound engineer lists the house systems specs on their website: http://www.freebirdlive.com/specs.html |

Try any of the places in "Jax Beach" area. Call first, because I did only to find that most of these places seem to have a very relaxed attitude about karaoke night. They could replace it with a band or private party at any time. I was there about 6 weeks ago and I found a show at Harmonious Monks on Old St. Augustine in Mandarin. The show was fun but I saw only copied cdgs. I hope the KJ has the originals. |
