Post subject:  Karaoke Player with Recording

Hi, I just joined the forum and I am looking for a Karaoke Player that can record using music from "regular" karaoke DVD/VCD that are NOT cd+g nor mp3+g. The recording of audio (singing + music) will be saved to USB drive or memory card that can easily be tranferred to a computer to create audio CDs.

It looks like some players require music from cd+g, mp3+g, midi only. Since I have many "regular" karaoke DVD/VCD, I need players to be more flexible.

Thanks for your help.

you have a multiplex karaoke disc. Just use any player to play it, but record with your computer. Download Audacity: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/ (it is free).
There is no need to spend extra money

There are tons of online tutorial on how to use it.

Thansk for Jian's reply. Instead of connecting a computer to my simple home karaoke system, it will be more convenient to have a Karaoke player that can also record. Since my simple player just broke down, I am now searching for a more updated player that can easily records from music on any DVD/VCD. I am now looking at acesonic DGX 210, DGX 109, RSQ StarSinger-800, etc. It is difficult to confirm if they can record from my DVD/VCD (multiplex karaoke disc?). Hope someone that owns similar player/recorder can help me to find the right one. Thanks!
