I have been searching online and reading a couple of threads, but found nothing useful. I am just looking for MP4 songs voice remover software. I would prefer something reliable, easy to use and show the text files for the lyrics. So far I have found some good softwares, but they work with MP3 audio only. If you guys have any ideas, please let me know.
All your inputs are warmly welcome.

Thanks..

You may have to just convert the format to another that will work with your vocal reducer programs.

Convert it with something like this freeware m4a to mp3 converter....
http://www.maniactools.com/soft/m4a-to- ... ndex.shtml
(That's not a recommendation, if it wipes your hard disk and destroys the entire universe, then that's your deal).

A program like AV Music Morpher Gold can remove the vocal track.

You can then use a program like Karaoke Builder Studio to turn it into Karaoke.

It's as Tim says, though. You may want to convert it from mp4 to another format first, there are a myriad of programs out there that can do just that. Maybe not mp3, though, because the variable bitrate might make syncing with karaoke lyrics more difficult. I'd try .wav if I were you.

Yeah, plenty of converters to help you. U can try, let's say Tunebite converter.

This one ,as far as I recall, it can convert mp4 to mp3 or wav or whatever works better for u.

I use a program called Mp3mymp3 which will record anything that goes out your soundcard to any of a number of formats. Doesn't matter what it is; another mp3, a YouTube video, iTunes stuff. The only detrimental aspect is that you have to record it in real-time. But it works great and it's free.

Vocal removal wont work very well with either MP3 or MP4, as the vocal removal relies on the very vocal track being essentially identical in the left and right stereo tracks.

With an MP3/MP4 as a result of the compression process the two tracks are no longer identical and syncornized down to the smallest fractions of a second. The tiny details between the two tracks are smoothed out by the compression process, but the vocal removal process is based on the existance of these differences. Even with a relatively high quality MP3 the vocal removal will not work as well as with an uncompressed song (wav/cd).

Even if the song is indistinguishable from the .wav version as an MP3/MP4 the vocal removal will not work as well. Additional processing such as converting from MP4 to MP3 will only make things a bit worse.

It can work with mp3s/converted mp4s to some extent depending on the song(provided the vocals are equally in the left and right track of a stereo recording), but it is not going to work as well as with another recording type of the same song.
