I know at least a few of you guys are running Compuhost. I was just using an A/B switch, but finally added a KWorld video card that was recommended over in the Compuhost forums so that I could have the scrolling list of singers on the bottom of the screen even when I was playing someone else's disc. So far, I've noticed that the audio sounds distorted if I feed it through the video capture device, so I feed it separately to the mixer and that works ok. However, where I do have a problem is I notice that the video seems to come out in spurts - the words scroll normally then the screen seems to pause for about a half second or so and then the words start flowing again in a big burst. Anybody else run into this particular problem? I didn't see it in the Compuhost forums. |

I use the External Video feature of Compuhost extensively, and have never experienced any lagging, so I'm not able to assist you first hand. But... It really sounds like you have another app or service running in the background that may be exhausting resources (CPU, Memory etc.) at times, especially when you're noticing the lagging. Video capture is in itself, a moderately resource intensive process, so I'd recommend that you investigate any and all apps and services running on your computer, and disable any that are not absolutely essential. Yep. See if you can tell using task manager what is using the resources. If unsure download filemon. That will tell you. http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/F ... -3365.html |
