Howdy.
My name is Jonathan, and I'm a karaoke addict.
Actually, I could quit if I wanted to; I just don't want to.
I come from a background of ten years of singing in Karaoke Boxes in Japan, and am setting up my system here. I'm an audio geek, so the tech part is not a problem.
I went out and I got me a DVX-668K as the heart of our system.
I'm not very pleased with it, though--and that's why I'm here. Some basic things that have not been part of my karaoke experience so far with this box:
How to cue songs while another singer is singing.
Why we are not seeing video behind the lyrics on the screen.
Limited to 8gigs on the USB port (that's tiny!)
Clearly we are not using enough horsepower, and need a more sophisticated system. That's why I'm here. I want to confer with like-minded Karaoke Heads and build such a system. The other forum I visited in YahooGroups is a bunch of Karaoke DJs. I hope this is a more active forum.
