Purchased a new VocoPro Gig-master from Guitar Center about a year ago and never opened it until today. It's been in storage since we moved from IN to NC. Called VocoPro tech assistance. That was a joke! The guy had no idea what I should do. He said, and I quote: "Well, when our products sit in a box, they begin to break down". Yes, he really said that. Then he said he didn't have any idea what I should do...yes, he actually said that as well! Said I could call one of their tech people in NC. Called the number. It was some guy's home who does free-lance repair I guess. Still waiting for return call. CAN ANYONE OUT THERE HELP ME??? So sorry I bought this product. Obviously, they don't stand behind them or hire people how can actually help!

Unfortunately there isn't much you can do since the warranty is most likely out. Sadly to say you will need to find a service center.
If you still have the receipt and can show that it was never opened til now, GC MIGHT (highly doubtful though) be able to help.

Thanks for the quick response. It was obvious, when I talked to the "tech" person at VocoPro, I was in trouble. Don't think I'd waste another dime on this boat anchor. Is there another system you would recommend? I would never buy another VocoPro product.

Here's the answer I gave you before you double posted this here:
Probably just one of the rubber bands that drives the opening mechanism fell off. If you were to open it up, you could possibly find it just laying there and put it back on and have it up and running in less than 5 minutes.
This has happened to me with more than one dvd player in the past.
If it's still under warranty, though, DON'T open it yourself. Let the warranty look after it, because otherwise you could void the warranty.
On a side note, this doesn't belong in the "Newbie Intro" section. It should be in the "Technical Questions" Section.

I figured that out later. Sorry. That's why I posted twice. Thanks. I'll take your advise.

Pretty sure it's off warranty. There are screws in the front + back. Do I remove both? Thanks, again.

Is the "Input" on Disc? Mine (Gigman) doesn't open unless it is.
