Hi,

Looking for some advice. I already own some published sound effects. But, am looking for more, good quality stuff that can be purchased. I'm not talking about creating my own thru a quality mixer with effects (I have that), but rather professional quality published material. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

How about a Google search for "professional sound effects?"

Works like magic!

Gentlemen, thanks for the search suggestion...I've of course already searched the web...really looking for some recommendations based upon your own personal knowledge/experience. Thanks anyway.

Not sure what you are really looking for, I bought several sound effect discs from what used to be called a record store in a misc. section.

Hi Lonman,

Appreciate the response. Looking for a wide array of sound effects to incorporate in karaoke vocals to add some uniqueness for the fun of it.

Again like what? The discs I bought combined had over 1500 different sound effects on them that I picked the ones I wanted to use for my shows. Just hit the music store & look at the sound effects discs they have. You would be better off hitting a dedicated music store (if you can find one) over one that just sells some cd's.

My favorite was always the Hannah Barbera SFX discs. Basically every cartoon sound effect you ever heard as a kid. Pricey though ($495).

Here is another option: MS Office products have "Clip Art". Narrow the search parameters to "Sounds" and search. They have tons of them...
