My father-in-law is trying to start up with Karaoke and he wants to have all of his music onto his external drive and be able to have the lyrics on the screen. What is the best software that he can use for this and he wants to keep his cost anywhere between 50 to 100 bucks. He does not want to have to use any equipment other than his laptop for the music. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

We're not ignoring you but this question or something like it is asked so often that most are tired of responding. autoOKdj is freeware and seems to work just fine. Just do a search for karaoke software and you'll find all the major brands that don't work any better than the freeware IMHO.

Ahhh I see it's time for the bi-monthly software thread.

A quick forum search will turn up volumes of endless debate on this topic.
