I'm considering buying a karaoke computer for my shows. What features should I look for? Any preferred brand

Figure out what karaoke hoster program you want to run, then base your computer purchase off the system requirements for that program.

The two most important factors for karaoke are processor speed and video memory. Practically all computers sold in the last 5-6 years have the processor speed to run karaoke, and all sold in the last 2-3 years have more than enough video memory.

I would just say be careful not to spend TOO much $$$. My karaoke laptop cost me $275.00, and was a refurbished 2004 model. That has lasted 2 years and counting with no problems.

Buy any of the modern laptops new in the $500+ range, and it is a pretty safe bet that it has the specs to run the most popular karaoke hoster programs out there. Just double check to be sure!
