I would stay away from this machine. It is not that it isn't going to do everything it says it is going to do, it probably will. All this machine is is a scaled-down computer that only runs Unify's proprietary karaoke software. The lowest price I could find on this unit was $599.99. For that price, you can go get a really good laptop and your choice of karaoke software that will be better than theirs. You gain the FLEXIBILITY of many many more options than the Unify unit is going to give you, for less money. Plus, I suspect that the BUILD QUALITY and customer support of a Unify product is not going to come close to a Dell, IBM/Lenovo, HP, etc. Anyway, for $599.99, you can do MUCH better for home karaoke. It also seems that in your original post that you may just need an actual disc-based karaoke player, not a computer system. For this need, you can really put together a complete small PA with a disc player for pretty close to $600, or you could buy a really good disc player for about $150.00 and hook it up to your home theater. Bottom line, I wouldn't buy this Unify system for anything over $250.00 or so. It just isn't worth it. |

thx first the thing is i really have no knowledge about karaoke hardware at all if i understand right theres on the one hand a software for an computer (hopefully mac too) and the other option is a karaoke dvd/cd/disc (?) for an disc/cd/dvd player but how is it working with the microphones can you recommend something please and what is the ultimative karaoke home experience if money doesnt really count thanks a lot if you spend time to help
