I got an Audix OM-2 from a friend of mine for a good price. It worked well, and I thought I'd use it as a second mic for my singers at my main bar (have an SM58 for the main mic).

Anyway, I noticed it's very good at feedback rejection, and it's great for those singers that are LOUD and hold the mic very close. Unfortunately, I had a singer tonight who was using it, and he accidently knocked the mic stand over with the mic still in it onto a concrete floor. The mic ended up with a dent in the side of the ball.

It was DEAD. Completely. Tried it with different cables. I've had even some cheap mics that held up better. One good drop, and it was done. After I unscrewed the ball, the capsule said "Warning: twisting or touching will damage capsule and will void warranty".

It's no SM58, that's for sure.
