Hi Everyone,

I'm 18 years old and I want to learn about the basics of voice lessons. I don't have money to enroll to music school because our money is limited. How should I start with the very basic voice lesson? Any links or videos would be much appreciated. Thank you and Merry Christmas.

The "Voice Lessons To Go" series on cd has helped me. They're available on Amazon.com.

Browse YouTube.... there is tons of stuff on there in regards to vocal lessons, exercises, instrument lessons, etc.

Just check out the credibility of who is posting it, if you can. Lots of wannabe's on there too:)

That's not to say it could replace a vocal coach, but it's a start, and there actually are some vocal coaches who post regular vids there.

If you are in the uk, you are young enough to qualify for free lessons via youth organizations.Google will lead you to them. I don't know if this is the cse in America, but possibly.

For basics, I agree that online 'lessons' can be very helpful, though not a substitute for lessons with a good teacher/coach.

Also, try http://www.vocalist.org.uk/ for lots of good info on all things Singing . I sing and also do part time vocal coaching for a living and still continue to find great tips at this site.

I hope this is helpful. :)
