I'll just reprint the books. I don't have the money to expand and considering how much I'd use it it wouldn't make much sense to spend that kind of money. Thanks for the info.
You can do that Lee. Keep in mind that some software you buy, will have a bookmaking software that goes with it. For instance I use Compuhost and it comes with FastTracks Song Book creator. All you do is type in the manu cdg # and it will place all those songs in a digital list for you to print out. One of the great things about this software (and maybe other manu songbook softwares) is that you can select to have no dupes printed in your book and even tell the software which manu you want to show up in your book if there are dupes. As a matter of fact, FastTracks will go 8 manus deep. For instance, I don't want dupes in my book so I select "no duplicates" and then I select Sound Choice first, Chartbuster second, Pop Hits Monthly 3rd, Sweet Georgia Brown 4th, and on and on. That's not actually my order but I will never tell!
The software has a one time cost. However the songbook writer (FastTracks) will need to be updated every so often. I can't remember the period because I chose the 2nd option of paying extra to have lifetime updates of karaoke song look ups. I think it was $27 extra. Others may remember better than me.
And I won't sugarcoat it, I've found spelling errors and artist name errors. These come from the manus themselves and I just keep an eye out as I add to my digital list and correct if I see them. But overall, I would never go back to typing in excel by hand. That's just me, there are those in this forum that prefer that method, and usually their reasoning is it lets them get to know their library better. Perhaps they are right, I like to do things the easy way usually.
