The song SHANTY, by Jonathan Edwards, is now available on the new Rebel Sync disc for folks that were looking for it recently. I tried to post it in the original thread but it was locked for some reason.

Don't forget to PM Bazza! In fact, I'll do it myself.

(I think they automatically lock threads that go to the archive....)

Could you point at a source for those discs?
I've found Rebel Sync Vols 1 & 2... are there more?
Any information on the manufacturer?

Express has it too.

I've had it about a week or so now. Actually had 3 requests on it that were never available until now. Not too bad versions - especially since they are the only versions available.

Woohoo!

Actually I had a custom made back when this song first came up. But thanks anyway!

I've had that happen to me before too, Bazza.

I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't the exact same track. I am sure that after time passes, those custom track people license/sell them off for the extra $$$.

That wouldn't surprise me in the least. You can't make any money selling a song ONCE. It'll probably come out soon on karaoke version and they'll wonder why nobody buys it. You snooze, you lose.

Early bird gets the worm.

It seems like Karaoke version is geared to the GLEE crowd lately. Ugh!

I read that Shanty was officially released on karaoke, but I have not heard it yet. It should NOT be the one you have Bazza. Rebel Sync has released the same titles that the recording studio made for me before (such as Crazy (@$%&#!) by Buckcherry), but it was only a coincidence, it was not the same recording. I can't find a link to sample on that disc yet, but I might eventually buy it for myself.

Some people have tried to release CD+G's from the studio's work, and unless they pay the studio for the distribution rights, they get a cease-and-desist order, or are threatened with a lawsuit.

I am just wondering about the legalities of the disc in question. At least the one I got from Express Karaoke came to me on a burned disc with a paper printed label. Are the other Rebel Sync discs like this? I do not have any others to compare to.
