I need to burst a few bubbles...
YES it's true that Digidesign HAS released a FULLY OPERATIONAL 8 track version of Protools LE. (Light Edition)
But here is the BAD news
It's ONLY available to those with windows operating systems that run vers. 95, 98 and ME (Millenium) or Macintosh ver. 9
Should you have those Operating systems on your computer systems the download is FREE or you can get the CD for the software simply by going to the Digidesign web. I use the HD/192 system which is the pro industry standard in the sonset beach studio. And at home I have the Protools LE on an M box but still don't use it but rarely on the singers showcase as I am doing a beta on Audacity.
contact me by PM if you can't find an internet addy for Digidesign or Audacity. The plug-in's for Protools cost a fortune.. but several come complimentary.
But they are well worth the cost.
