Karaoke-Version Dot Com.... You folks are likely already aware of this website, but I hadn't seen it before. I've been searching for quite some time for Johnny Reid Karaoke tracks to no avail. Just one listing from a few years ago included at KJ Pro, but none of his newer stuff... Johnny is Scottish. He emigrated to Canada some years ago, and now divides his time between Hamilton, ON and Nashville, and touring... He's had several #1 country hits in Canada including "Darlin", "Kicking Stones", "Old Flame", and "Dance With Me"... At any rate, despite letters to Chartbuster et al, I've not seen any of these newer songs in Karaoke.... UNTIL yesterday when... I discovered the above-mentioned website... where I found both "Darlin" and "Dance With Me"... A little pricey at $2.99 each... but well worth it to me. Life is good. |

So now we are supposed to assume that every company selling backing tracks is operating illegally???? I've purchased quite a few tracks from karaokeversion.com to make my own CDG files for my own PERSONAL USE. I don't ever use the Sound Choice Logo when I make my title screens so I think I'm safe. Imean, who is going to come after someone who is using these tracks? Don Henley? I'll take my chances. |

Was in a lengthy conversation last night with a 'kj' at my show (wanting to swap libraries - yeah right) who swears that his hard drive is fully legal even though he didn't have a disc.
