The 0404 was $179 last year, and the 1616 was over $500. Creative finally decided to put this stuff out for a lower price now. $79 and $279 respectively.

Total game changer. I need to get myself a new PCIe system.

Is there some software that turns this into the equivalent of a Presonus with channel limitations.

Yup, I have them setup on most/all of my channels as well as my mix channel. You can do that from patchmix with either a compressor or a leveling amp.
