Can anyone tell me if there is a version of this song that doesn't have the background singers scream during the chorus ? I tried two different ones and they both blare |

You're right.. I only have the Legends version of the song, and wow.. soon as they hit the chorus it's like BLAM! I can see where that might be a real issue when you've got a soft singer, and you've got your levels set just right and the chorus comes around and that's all you hear are those background singers. |

it took me a bit to really grasp the idea that in some harmonies, the lead voice becomes just another part of a bigger chord. sometimes the lead does get lost, but when i listen to the original (admittedly i have not on this particular song) i hear the lead fold into the big harmonies, Queen was big on this. Freddie disappears often in the harmonies. |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RFtzC6W2ks Sounds like someone is playing the kazoo during the chorus. I think I'd rather have the background singers...but to each his own. |

What exactly would one use a YouTube version for? Especially that one. Without the harmonies, it sounds awful. The "loud" harmonies in that song are there for a reason. They should be equal volume to the lead in that part of the song. |
