Anyone heard of this service online? They contacted me, seems to be legit. Nice ad you get for free. Links to your website and promises more google hits if you put a link of their site on your site. Will throw up a list of your email contacts to ask for references from them. I selected about 20 people that I have done gigs for. |

I received a notice through Craig’s List that a mother was desperately seeking a replacement DJ for her son's wedding on the 26th. It appears the DJ she booked had dropped out on her. I don't know what this Thumbtack is, nor do I remember signing up for it; but I do appreciate the heads up concerning last minute gig possibilities. |

Last minute gigs. I've literally had one that was starting 3.5 hours from the time they called me. I'm always set up and ready to go. I don't turn them down if they are profitable and I'm free. Did one Saturday night on 10 days notice. I make up to sometimes 4 times what I would get for a bar gig. My bar gig Friday night ended up being a big free for all just as I started shutting down. I see this Thumbtack as a good thing so far. |

I also sent 3 emails to Thumbtack letting them know of the situation and a link to educate them. I also told them that if they were going to continue to support obvious businesses that run illegally, to take me name off their site. |

Don't do that, my friend......actually, sometimes I'm a bit too corny, and not that funny........wife says it's gotten so bad lately......actually looks like I got a corn cob stuck up my a$$, the way I've been walking lately.....it's just a bad back, though....
