soliciting suggestions for a decent hobbyist setup. primarily for a group of seniors and occasional younger. Player/amp combo with a pair of good 8" speakers. Would like a wireless/4 mic ability. mp3g based with the ability to play a cd+g disk as well. ps2 keyboard input or other "easy" entry method.

My father is seeking an arrangement to travel with, so size, more so then weight, is a factor.

This forum seems like a good place to get some advice. Thanks in advance.

lightweight, good sound, great quality. the mixer attaches to the back of one of the speakers so you only carry 2 things.

4 in 1, many on here seem to like these.

use a laptop, i like Siglos Karaoke Pro software, you can play CD+G discs right off the laptop drive like a standalone player. there are others, Compuhost & MTU Hoster are the other favorites. download the free demos and try them to see which he likes best.

this case will hold mic receivers, power cnditioner, and space for a 2 space drawer. i lined one with foam cutout to the shape of my mics, and small holes for extra batteries. even has wheels to roll it away.

small, portable, simple. hope this helps
