Post subject:  KARAOKE KJ BUSINESS PROMOTIONAL FLYER

Can anyone show me an example of a flyer I can use as a guide to give me ideas on creating a new flyer for my KJ business? My intentions are to mail this KJ business flyer to various clubs in the Portland Oregon area for KJ business? If you think there is a better way to promote my KJ services, please let me know? All comments are welcome. :?: Thank you!

Flyers & mailers get tossed before they get read usually.

Best way to promote yourself is make a little promo pack with what you do, capable of doing, show references (if you can), songbook (although this doesn't really mean anything half the time), maybe an equipment list & call the bars you are thinking about & set-up an appt for a personal meeting with the manager & or owner. This will get you more than a flyer through the mail.

BTW, if you want to keep any kind of reputation in the karaoke industry of your area, you may want to stay out of clubs that currently have karaoke, you don't want to get the reputation of a show stealer.

A promo pack gets more responses than any other piece of business material ie: business card, word of mouth, initial phone call, or the like.

Mine included a home spun and professionally produced DVD with most of our own music and hot mixes produced by myself and a very close friend who I'm now in partnership with in a recording studio. Many letters of business references, as well as our equipment list and previous client list (with prior permission) Never include your rates in a promo pack.

Treat it as if you are auditioning for a job in the entertainment industry in a big corperate club. Be prepared for anything, and ALWAYS GET A CONTRACT!!!
