Hello, I am new to all of this, so sorry if this has been hashed around before, or if the question seems dumb in any way. If it is at all possible, I would like to know if anyone out there is familiar with MP3+G or .BIN files when it comes to Karaoke music. Recently my mother lost everything she had...She spent thousands of dollars over the years buying tons of Karaoke music, and recently due to a very major storm, lost everything. Since her birthday is coming up, I thought it would be nice If I could learn how to burn some of the Karaoke music she had lost onto CD for her to play. Now, after some help from friends, I found some of the files and they were zipped....No problem. When I unzipped them I had a .mp3 file and a separate .CDG file. I also downloaded the CD+G burner, but when I attempted to place the .mp3 file in with the .CDG file to burn, but the program refused taking in the .mp3 file and stated that it only accepted BIN and CDG files by which to complete the process. Obviously I need to convert the two files into one? Could someone guide me to a program or perhaps explain how to make the combination file so I could burn this disc for her? I would appreciate it greatly. Lastly, I attempted to read over the power karaoke site but found the explanations to be very abstract, almost out of context for what I am looking to do. Thanks ahead of time guys for this. |

If the program works like most, the 2 files have to be in the same folder & named indentically (one .cdg & one .mp3). On the burner software you just highlight the cdg file and it will automatically take the music with it. Now you may run into a drive compatability issue, but that can be tackled after you try this first. |

Thanks for your fast reply. I have since utilized power ISO to make the disc. I used a CD-R and burned thus, ensuring that both the .CDG and the .MP3 were the same names as you specified. Will this now work in your average Karaoke machine? |

Not wanting to pour cold water on this (and yes I see you are trying to help your mom) but instead of downloading and burning copies of CDGs, why not just purchase her a set of disc. People here swear by Supercore, and they are dirt cheap. While they may very well be pirated disc, they aren't as obvious as the ones you are burning for your mom. |

I agree with Thunder on this. If your mother spent thousands of dollars on her music, she probably won't appreciate pirated copies of music to replace it as much as she would legally purchased custom CDs of her favorites. You can get those made inexpensively through many of the manufacturer's or distributor's websites. They are easy to find if you look. |
