Ok, this is the best karaoke forum in the entire WORLD! If you don't agree, don't hang around! I've been reading all the posts and threads a lot lately. Lots of debating going on, very ordinary and expected. But it doesn't have to get nasty. I've yet to go to anyone else's show from this forum. But I have no doubt, you all run a great show. We all have our own way of doing things, we all use our preferences of equipment. We ALL don't like to see hosts/bars/shows that use pirated music. But damn it! We all like karaoke, we all strive to run a great show and we all want our business to kick azz! Right? It's human nature to argue about how to get to a point, place, or way. That ain't gonna change! Let's all just keep in mind, we are all brothers and sisters and are the keepers of this business/sport/hobby/way of life! This doesn't mean I won't disagree with some of you from time to time, but I won't intentionally treat you like a dip (@$%&#!). Seriously, let's treat each other with dignity and respect! Having said such, how did the April East Coast get together go? |

I agree with you post completely. We may have heated debates, but there's nothing personal to be taken- it's an internet forum! Ripman, where was the April meet up on the east coast? |

Yeah... now that you mention it... I don't remember any follow up on the possibilities of an East Coast Summit (like some of us from the old JOLT Forum used to have/attend). Did it ever take place??? |

Agreed. Some folks get offended when you disagree with them. That's not on you; it's on them. As long as there's no 'personal attacks' or 'name calling', everyone should be good. There is absolutely no one right way to host a karaoke show; no one right set of equipment to use; no one 'best' karaoke manufacturer. We all should embrace the concept of discussion, debate, argument with deep passion, the desire to learn and the satisfaction of sharing, with the end result of having helped one or more people. |

Well, drove to downtown Toronto last night to watch a show. No show. Bummer, going tomorrow night. Better be one, headed back to the states Sunday night, not impressed so far! Be hosting my own private party Saturday, second one in two weeks up here, we'll see if Friday tops mine. |
