Hello there

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask the question, but I will try..

You see, I have seen a lot of karaoke videos out there, but most of them either have the original singer's singing or no singing at all, only the onscreen lyric..

I'd like to record my singing over the karaoke video very similar to this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNU8aycadPk -- the voice is not the original singer.

I have the hardware such as speaker, microphone and PC, then any idea where to start?

Much appreciation!

Thank you

PS: For my personal use only

Most video edit programs will permit changing the audio tracks on the video..

So in theory, you could run the video out of your player to your PC video input, record it, and then swap tracks.

Or, if you are good, dub the audio into the video in real time
(As it plays, you sing..)

(Assuming this is for personal use, right?)

Hello

Thanks for the reply.. Could you provide more detail about how to do it? What video program will you recommend and how to dub the audio into video in real time?

I am completely new in this area...

PS: Yes, for personal use..

Thanks

You can use Microsoft Movie Maker to capture and edit video..

(It's free with windows)

USB video capture devices start @ $20.00 and go up to $100.00 or more..

The cheaper ones will have poor software..

Plug the USB device is, start the video capture..
