I already plan on getting a rsq 505, and i have a sony surround sound system, and i have a decent apex dvd/vcd player that i want to use, i was wondering is there a decent mixer i can get for under $200, preferably in the $150 range? BTW it would be great if it has 2 mic inputs. Thanks for any help. |

Go to musiciansfriend.com. and search for product #630157. Note: Home audio systems are notoriously poor for live sound. Thier speakers weren't meant for it. |

The Mackie DFX6 would be a good choice. You may consider getting some speakers designed for live music (which karaoke is parlty). You stand a good chance blowing your theater speakers with live vocals. |

cyke 1, You will not find anything of quality in cleanliness or of reasonable power or satisifaction in a powered mixer/speaker combination to meet your needs. that wish is totally unreasonable, in a new product. Any used product is probably going to be really trashed. For $200.00 US Dollars. If you do.. and you are happy 1 year later.. Let me know. I wish ya all the luck in the world in finding the proper gear. |

one small suggestion might be to try the following: www.acekaraoke.com/ha2kkm0701.html (Audio2000'S AKM701 digital echo karaoke mixer)... a low power, but versitile piece of equipment. No mixing would be possible, but you could switch players with the push of a button... have your rsq 505 on the VCD and your "decent apex dvd/vcd player" on the cd... with a single button you would change your INPUT selection. another option might be www.acekaraoke.com/ha2kkm7015.html (Audio2000'S® AKM7015 key & digital echo karaoke mixer)... which has two mics and two music inputs... again, mixing would be nill. For home use, my guess is it would be okay. Matt |
