Got a good idea....

How about some karaoke scene pens, pencils, song request slips, stuff that shows would use. I'd love to have some stuff like that.

Or work out a deal where the sponsors would have their adds on them...

Matt.. Copyright Issues???

or better yet.. Song slips that say "STOLEN FROM Karaoke Scene's KARAOKEFEST (year upcoming)"

to promote the upcoming year and the web address.

that may be a better idea..

no, no copyright issues... you can buy t-shirts, hats, etc... there is nothing wrong with getting songslips, pencils etc. with a company name...

I like the idea of "stolen from"... I've seen that at something else, and laughed my butt off!

Hmmm...

I like the idea!

Pencils would be great. Like those short ones used at Lotto stores or golf courses.
"www.KaraokeScene.com - Need a Tag Line -"

Song Slips - I could create these and they could be downloaded from the site via a Adobe .pdf file. You would have to cut them though.

Something Like:
Song Slips wrote:

Song Title: ___________________________

Song #: ____________________________

Singer Name: _________________________

visit: www.KaraokeScene.com
Give me some ideas as to what should be included on the Song Slips?!

I am looking into some other items. I need more suggestions!

Phill

Have a Key up / Down on the slip

and possibly a place for "Your Disc"

BTW... These ideas came from Lonman's site... he's the best!

Phil, I was thinking of a set of these that came on a pad... you rip the slips off the gum label! One of your sponsors does this...

The pads are nice to have, BUT they generally end up in peoples purses & pockets as personal notepads. When I use to pad my slips, I found I was reprinting every 2-3 months. Now i'm on single slips & reprint every 5-6 months.
These are how mine are laid out.

Lonman -

Very nice!

Hope you don't mind if I use the same layout structure, just change the lower info to say "Karaoke Scene"

Pads, like Lonman states will probably cost more than it is worth. People will take them to use as personal pads. Where as you can print these out and/or copy them off at little expense.

I'm checking into the pencil idea... the short golf pencils without erasers with a personal phrase run around $8.00 for a box of 144. Plus we would need to mark up for profit! :)

Keep the ideas coming!

Phill

oh absolutely!!!!

Terrific things for contests (consolation prizes), or just random giveaways. Debra has said on many occassions that you SHOULD spend that kind of money occassionally!!!!!

and Phil... DIDN'T I say he was the best??!! I was using presorted out print slips like that, but nothing that complex. I took one look at Lonnie's and went "DAT's HOW YA DO IT!"

Awesome! Let me see if I can get Shot glasses, we already offer some of those items...

BTW - We do have some T-shirts still from KaraokeFest 2004 - I will be making them available soon. "Still waiting for mine" ;)

If the idea is to promote the KS site and to make money, any advertising you would do should probably highlight the Singer's Showcase. It seems to be a big hit with the current members. You let a Karaoke Freak know that there is somewhere they can go and actually post their favorite songs.......... 8) As far as type of merchandise I don't have a clue. Maybe I'll get a "vision"

We're investigating different options...

using cafePress is rather pricey - That is just one of the problems.

We may be able to offer T-shirts for around $10 or $12 with discounts for bulk purchases.

We are on top of this and will get back to you with more details. In the meantime keep the ideas coming!

Since most of us work in bars, how about bottle/can coolers? They are relatively cheap, and people will use them.....

What about if you offer the karaoke scene iron on decal? Different sizes for the hats, t-shirt pockets, etc.???

I used to work at a laser imprinting store for some part time money, and the costs involved aren't that much, but when you look into getting Hayes T-shirts in quantities of 12 at only $2.00 each (and much cheaper on other sites), it DOES make you wonder about it.
