We're flying out tonight for 5 days and would love to have a line on someplace to sing...

I was in Vegas last year and I went to a very fun karaoke show in the lounge at The Flamingo on the strip. They had 2 karaoke hosts there working together, a guy and a girl. If memory serves me correctly, I think they were there 4 nights a week. The show ended at 1 or 2am. Can't remember exactly but I know it was after midnight.

I haven't been to Vegas in several years, but I'm sure it hasn't changed much. Here's some spots I remember.....

1. The Stratosphere (at the Northern end of the Main Strip) --- TJ runs a show there 2 or 3 nights a week.

2. Harrah's --- The Piano Bar up front --- TJ and his All-Star Impersonators (Cher, Tina, Richard Simmons, Tom Jones, etc...)... He had a 2 hour show from 6 PM to 8 PM, where the 1st hour was his All-Star impersonators, and the 2nd hour was open Karaoke. After that, there were these 2 twin sisters who did a Dueling Piano act for 1 hour (they were well worth watching).

3. Ellis Island--- 1 block behind Bally's (center of the Main Strip) --- This is one of the more popular spots.

4. Imperial Palace (next door to Harrah's) --- Tequila Joe's (up front) --- There was no rhyme or reason to how the KJ ran his rotation, AND, he took bribes!!!

5. Mandalay Bay --- The House of Blues --- I believe they have Live Band Karaoke once a week.

You can also check with the Front Desk of your Hotel. I'm sure they would know of plenty more.

Also, check with JDmeister... He goes to Vegas quite often.

Thanks Cue. We're actually staying with family. This will help.

Bird,

You might check with the local B&M in Vegas.

Mary Ann the owner is good people and I try to swing by everytime I get to Vegas. They have a great selection of discs and also carry the "Las Vegas Lounge Entertainment Mag." which is the Vegas version of Karaoke Scene.

Just found an old copy. Web site is www.lvlem.com it lists tons of places to go.

Hope this helps.
