hold them up in front of a light and see if you can see pinholes of light shinning through, if so your disc is damaged and that's what is causing your artifacts on the screen. also fingerprints and scratches on the bottom of the cd's can do the same thing so try cleaning them. if you have deep scratches then i suggest taking the disc to a video rental store or a video games store and see how much they will charge you to resurface the disc to remove the scratches most places charge between $3-5 dollars a disc to resurface them. don't buy a skip doctor and attempt to do it yourself they suck and damage the discs. |

Most likely is due to the actual background on the Pioneer discs. I can't remember which brands had issues, but some brands just didn't work well with the image underlays. |
