Looks interesting but I have had my fill of Ebay. They're nothing but thieves.

Never had any issues with E-Bay. Once had something packaged badly and was broke on arrival, but it was quickly refunded by the seller. It's looking at feedback ratings and how many transactions.

These do look interesting, however I didn't find anything I could really use. There were a handful of songs i'd like, but not going to buy several discs just to get them, plus they do not have any graphics, just instrumental.

did you know ebay and paypal are owned by the same company so (as a seller, does not apply as a buyer) when you pay your ebay fee's then pay the paypal fee's the one company has made money off the same item twice!!!!

If you are a seller & want to use PayPal. Not as a buyer.

I have used eBay & Paypal since their inception. Over 500 transactions and only one I had to contest...and I won and was refunded. If you are careful, watch for the obvious pitfalls and ask questions, you will be fine.

As for the OP...I have no experience with that seller. Do they have a song not available anywhere else?

What Lonman said - look at their reviews + how long they have been selling. Reputation means everything to the long time sellers. eBay and Amazon are the first places my wife and I look for just about everything over the past 10 years.

I've never heard of these. Doesn't look like something I want to invest my money in at this time.

I too have over 500 (just got my purple star thank you very much) feedback on eBay. Plus at least another 100 or so auctions from duplicate sellers or non feedback posters (I don't pursue the feedback anymore). I've never gotten a negative and have only given negative feedback a few times. I've had to escalate one case which I won. I've bought 4 or 5 items that I asked for (and received) refund/return/replacement. And a couple years ago I bought a fake ipod (with about 40 others) that eBay immediately got my money back for me. Why do I put up with that? Price. I've saved thousands of $$ on eBay. Not everything is going to have best prices on eBay. Brand new electronics, buy them at your local Wal Mart. Same price and less hassle if the unit has issues.

Most of my cdgs have come from eBay. If you are willing to spend some time watching, you will finds some great prices! Just as others have said, look at the sellers feedback.

I don't trust ebay because they gave the seller the wrong address when I changed it before the purchase. Thenb they have the nerve to allow the seller to keep both my money and the item.

I'm assuming that you contacted your Credit Card company and disputed the charge after that.

Danny, if you complain to ebay strongly they usually give in.
Since you did not sign for anything you have not yet received it.
I think that is the way of ebay.

"They" changed it? You mean eBay? I find that hard to believe. More than likely you simply didn't choose the correct address when paying.

How did you pay? How was it shipped?

These are the pitfalls people are talking about. If you pay for something that cant be reversed, or choose a non-trackable/signable shipping option for expensive things, than you are asking for trouble.

most of the problems and disappointments i have had with ebay are because I didn't read the description of what I was bidding on closely enough.

i have two 2.5 CD rom drives sitting doing nothing when i thought i was buying something for my desktop computer..

Other than that, i have never had any problems.. *shrug*

I have to admit, I would be a little cheesed off if I thought I was getting a whole CD-ROM Drives and they only sent me 1/2 of one....unless of course they sent along a few 1/2 CD's to go with it....

:)

They do exist, but I haven't seen one in years. They are actually 80mm Discs and there were a few drives made back in the day made specifically for them.

I've seen the discs (have some), but they've always played on my regular drives and players, didn't know there were once special sized drives for them. Never seen one of those.

Actually not that it matters but when I said 2.5 drive I meant a cd rom drive that is designed to go in a laptop.

The mistunderstanding coming from that laptop Hard disks are 2.5 *i think*

It's possible you can buy external USB cases for those!
