I will be visiting Savannah, Georgia this weekend with my wife and another couple and was looking for a good karaoke show to visit since we all sing and it would be nice to sing without working. We will be there Friday and Saturday night and staying downtown in the historical district. We do not plan on driving once we are in town. Walking distance would be great! |

Rum, a suggestion, if you don't get an answer here: Go to www.karaokelistings.com This site is usually fairly up to date. Click on Georgia and scroll down to the city. There are fewer listings than there used to be these days, but I'm guessing you might recognize a name or two. Good luck, and enjoy the trip! |

I went to a place called "The Jinx" last time I was in Savannah. It is NOT a family friendly bar, but it is a great karaoke venue. High riser stage, great system, fair rotation, great seating arrangement, cheap beer. Just be warned that it seems to be an industrial live music bar when they aren't doing karaoke. Not a gay bar, but definitly has its share of alternative lifestyle types....think more david bowie and kat von d types. It was cool to hear some harder rock sung and sung well at this place. It's also just about 4 blocks off River Street, cattycorner to the big fountain the children play in during the day, so an easy walk. I'd recommend it, not your typical karaoke venue, but a very good show. |

I've been to McDonough's and had a great time. The KJ host is a former FOH sound engineer and now karaoke at this place is all that he does. More family oriented than most. |
