Hmmm, that could be a thread in itself. Maybe post the actual song length, but also post the length of ACTUAL singing time, not counting outros.
Example
Hotel California - Eagles time 6:48, singing ends at 4:43 (SC)

Could help those that may just look solely at time a chance to re-examine certain songs thinking they are too long simply because of their time stamp.

Neil Diamond : Be
Karaoke track time 6:46 (SF and SBI)
No more lyrics after 4:07

Sidenote - Though this is one of my favourite songs, and I would be most upset if I sang this and the KJ cut the outro, although I'd completely understand if he did. So I reckon I'll only sing this on really dead nights. The instrumentals in the song are beautiful, the (probably midi-made) karaoke backing track does it no justice at all.

And a short song with a long outro:
Isaac Hayes : Do your thing
Karaoke track time 3:32 (CB)
No more lyrics after 2:15

GM series Home for a Rest by Spirit of the West. Altho definately not as long as some of the other examples given. total track time 4:34 seconds.

The outro is almost 90 seconds long, which would make the singing time around 3 minutes.

At work so no access to liibrary but I believe CB edition of Free Bird has the long outro. Also, I'm sure someone has Hey Jude that's only half. The original is 3:09 (if I remember right) of song and then nearly 4 minutes of na na na na hey judes.

I get the occasional singer who wants to ride out that extra four minutes, so they can get a pool cue to use as a guitar. Drives me nuts.
