I'm headed out to Vegas just after Labor Day for a week.
I definitely want to go do some singing while there.
Can anyone give me any good spots to go?
I know there are probably hundreds, at least. But, where are the top notch places to be for karaoke in Vegas?

Tequila Joe's, right outside Imperial Palace is pretty good. Don't remember much about the karaoke, but Inna, the Russian bartender, was the finest female in all of Vegas. Incidentally, she makes a fantastic White Russian, too. =)
Actually, the karaoke was pretty cool. Great crowd/atmosphere, energetic host, sound was acceptable, got to sing three times on a Sunday night; no real complaints, except you have to walk all the way through the casino to find a restroom, and Inna never returned my email.

Tym, the SYSOP and Karaokefun mentioned Tequila Joe's (at The Imperial Palace). I do not recommend that place. The KJ does not run a fair rotation, and he takes BRIBES. But, I have to admit that the atmosphere there was nice.
As for the Barbary Coast (Marty just mentioned it), that's only on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
Check out Knightshow's (Matt) post. I'm the one who started the thread in another k-site that he mentioned. You can e-mail him or me for the URL to that topic thread.

Tym,
Of course everyone has their favorite type of club and personally none of the clubs in casinos appeals to me. I prefer a local club whose regulars wear jeans & a T-shirt.
Each time I've gone to Las Vegas I visit the local karaoke store and ask the owner the clubs she recommends. You can also pick up a magazine that is dedicated to karaoke, darts & pool at the karaoke store. The other thing I like to do is open the yellow pages to karaoke, call the karaoke companies & talk to the KJ's about their gigs. I have yet to have a bad time singing karaoke in Las Vegas after taking one or more of these steps.
