Strange? That's Karaoke is Karaoke Scene's SteamCast Radio Show. Fun stuff... If you are able to listen to the Singer's Showcase, you should be able to listen to one of the shows... visit: www.thatskaraoke.com Then click on the show name. A new window will open and start playing the show. Note it may take awhile to "buffer" (load) it is an hour long show! Phill |

'K, that's kinda whut I was athinkin' thar. J/K, sry, I don't really talk like that. I'm such a dork. I've clicked it before and left it up for a few minutes, but it never does anything. I'm on DSL, so things usually load pretty fast . I don't even see anything like a bar to show that it's rying to load. Hmmmmmm....... and I have the latest RealOne Player, & Win Media Player, I listen to tons of stuff off the internet. Hmmmmmmm.......... Maybe I'll try again & open it up before I start cooking dinner or something. By the time I get it all burnt & set on the table, maybe the show will be loaded. So we'll see how it goes. Thank you. |

Well, I got out of cooking tonight- so I couldn't try my "burnt dinner" theory of waiting for it to download. It's late here, I'm tired- so I'm gonna try to figure it out tomorrow. If it don't work, I'll try the "browser settings" theory- I think that is ok though. But, who knows. Thanks for tryin' to help me figure it out. All this thinking takes away from time I could be singing , . |

You click and a box opens that says 'click' at the bottom. Click where it says 'click'. If you're using Opera you may get the same message I got that says 'This page requires that you download and install a plugin but doesn't say which one.' If you're not using opera, but another browser that's not from M$, the failure to play may be linked to the message above or improper setup in your MIME types. I had to open it in Internet Exploder, er, Explorer to get to the stream which worked correctly (opened and started streaming in the window that opened up without the 'click' button). If you can't get it to play try installing WinAmp and playing the stream through it or installing the latest releases for M$ media player and the codec pack from Windows Update. |

Karaokemeister- You sound like a very nice and helpful person- but Jiminy Christmas, you lost me from line 1. I'm not a computer pro, I'm a real redneck in that area actually- it's like a $1200 deck of cards for me. Okay, maybe I'm not that bad, but that line from "Larry the Cable Guy" was worth repeating atleast once. On the "That's Karoake" page, I am clicking where it says (something like, but don't quote me) "On the Air" The 10th show (click here). So.....I got it figured out to "click there", haha. The little box that pops up is almost the same, no button on it TO click, and " ON THE AIR" is just flashing. I'll wait it out for a while, see if it does anything else. Oh, I am using Internet Explorer. (I understood that part) Soooo.......... I'll let ya all know if I get anything this time. But, what is it? Just a radio show, it looks like from reading that people send songs there, or is that something different? I guess if I ever get to hear it I'll understand it better. Anyone else out there with DSL: How long does it usually take for it to load all the way? When I listen to songs on SS it's like 3 or 4 seconds and I'm listening. Thanks for your responses people. |

Heya BSS OK, I tried it and here's my version Click (with the left mouse button while pointing at >> That's Karaoke ) Your IE explorer moves to http://www.thatskaraoke.com About a third down the page, you'll see .: Current Show :. » The Tenth Show <= CLICK HERE (a new window opens) Now click on the words» The Tenth Show A new small window opens, saying "That's Karaoke" StreamCast Radio Show On The Air Mine started playing immediately (s/p??) if it did not work, go back to the >> That's Karaoke page, and where it says Quote: In order to listen to the shows, please be certain that
you have the latest Media Player. Download here: [Windows Media Player] [ Real Player] [QuickTime] then download one of the players! Good Luck! |

ALLSTAR (I'm Yelling that) !!! I'm not that computer ignorant. Of course I'm left-clicking, ya ninny. That's EXACTLY what I'm doing- in your "color-coded" description. The box that popped up (where it should be playing) is STILL just flashing the "On the Air". ? ? ? ? ? ? ? And I do have the newest versio of Windows Media player AND RealOne Player. So, beats me. It's been over an hour now, so I don't think the problem is in the loading. I'll try to update my Real One player, maybe they have had an update to it- but mine is not very old. |

I'm Sorry, BSS. I didn't mean to offend you, I actually went through this to help you. I do not know your computer skills, so the colour coding was done merely as helpfull (obviously not) information. |

Oh- I'm sorry- no offense was taken at all. I didn't mean to make you think that, I was just trying to be funny. You gotta learn to not take me so seriously, because I'm not the type of person to snap at someone like that. Really, I was just teasing. I appreciate your help, so thank you. |

Okay, just forget it- I'm really going crazy now. I just checked & I need an update to Real One Player, but I don't want to buy it. The one I have is fine for what I use it for. Same with Quick Time Player. I have the newest Windows Media Player though. ? ? ? ? ? I watch videos on CMT and other places & it works fine, so I don't know what's the matter here. I'll just skip the "That's Karaoke" thing for now. Thanks everyone who tried to help, but it looks like I can't do it unless I'm willing to upgrade something. I'd rather spend my nickels & quarters on new karaoke cd's. |
