I have lost my main karaoke drive the other day and when I restored from my backups, I noticed that I was missing some tracks from set 6. No problem, I thought to myself, I'll just re-rip the tracks that are missing.

The problem is, my drive won't read the last track in the disc *usually track 15*. I remember having problems with this before, but I don't remember how I got around it.

I have tried both power CDG, audio grabber and even clone cd *which is what i used to use but the process is a pain in the (@$%&#!)*

If someone has a solution, could they please post it. If not, is there anyone who would be willing to send me just the .cdg files*I can rip the music from the disc just fine* please pm me

I can post pictures if anyone is worried about me not having the originals.. :)

I remember having that problem a couple of times. Have you tried CDG Rip? It's from CompuHost. I've used it to rip my complete Essential set. Works pretty good.

It's because of the data track on them discs usually. MTU Microstudio will work, but will rip them to a bin file, you can then convert from there.

For that troublesome 15th track with the data file I use Power CDG Burner. It will rip the track and when it hits the data file it will slow down. I just eject the disc or turn off the drive. The program thinks it's done and will close the zip file, the only thing wrong is that it will think the file is much larger than it actually is (ex: a 4 min song may look to be almost 8 min when you go to play it). It will create about 3 to 4 min of dead air which is easy to get out of, it's a minor pain but it works.

I forgot about that trick, not sure if it still works with some of the newer programs, but well worth a shot!

When I used to have CDGWin it would always stop dead at 85% (80 something) on the last track. To get around that I would calculate what sector to stop at and it would complete it and work fine.
