Ever since I started in this business, I have relied on Sound Choice and Chartbuster as my two main company's to go to for the tracks I need/wanted. But since Sound Choice has quit producing disk, and Chartbuster is out of business, I am having a difficult time deciding which company would be the best to go to now.

I realize that some manu's have songs the others don't, and I can live with that (no choice), but if you were to rank those companies that are left, what would that ranking look like.

Just curious.

For new music, I recommend SBI off of the Tricerasoft site. Everything new that I have purchased from them has been spot on. However, I bought AC/DC's "Thunderstruck" last night. Wasn't overly impressed with it at first (mainly the intro), but I made some sound adjustments (mids down) and it sounded "OK".

I also am quite fond of SBI, especially for rock music, they do a great job and have a good selection...many songs that nobody else produces.

Sunfly has improved greatly since getting a new group to do their backing tracks. They have been putting out more country recently and have some great renditions.

KaraokeVersion does good backing tracks and have many songs that nobody else does. I have found their graphics to be disappointing at times and some of their stuff is only available without graphics.

Those are the first three places I go looking.

I know that this is a bit repetitive, But I like Karaoke Kurrents for their pop, and the same company for their All Country Hits. The Pop is not as good as Zoom, and The counry isn't as good as Charbuster, but both are way better than whatever is in second place. Stellar's extremely generic- even if quickly produced- tracks are simply not good enough for my singers.

If you go to Sunfly, you have to buy a minimum of three tracks, which can be problematic if you are trying to satisfy a customer quickly.

SBI has Sunfly, and you can buy one track at a time.

Tricerasoft also has sunfly one at a time, and the price is a bit lower per track. i also will use Zoom, had good luck with their pop.
