I was just wondering how many KJs have the Monster Hits collection?

I know there is a lot of duplication if you have for example, ALL Hits, Sweet Georgia Brown, Nutech, Chartbusters, Sound Choice, Top Tunes, Music Maestro, Supercore, and DK plus some Legends and Sunfly discs. I know I don't need 6 or 8 versions of the same song.

I'm not familiar with the whole Monster Hits Collection, but there are a few tracks that I like and I'm wondering if it's worth buying the entire Monster Hits collection? I appreciate your input on this.

Only 13 of them in my collection. Don't recall having used any of them.

...I have around 65 of them. They hardly ever get used. I have played a few tracks, here and there. Like some other Manufacturers, it's hit or miss. The hits seem to be fairly good, the misses aren't as bad as some of the other Manufacturers. I guess it depends on what you can get them for in today's market.

27 – bought it as library song filler. All the MH tracks have been replaced as the better versions were released by other manus. Prize raffled it last New Year’s.

I have 1, Jackson Browne - it gets used quite a bit lately anyway.

I have some. Not great, same Stellar, I guess. Less generic, but the arrangements are so-so. I only seem to use two- MH1086 for a couple of titles and 1128.

However, my sampling is admittedly small. They could have some great tracks and some real stinkers, just like everyone else.

I own the entire collection. They were offering the entire set (159 discs) a few years ago for 130 bucks, so I nabbed it. Why??? I dunno, cuz most of them are repeats of what I had already. But the price was right. Original discs too. However, to answer your question, how are the songs?? I won't give them a thumbs up,,, or down for that matter,, they are just simply "adequate" overall. But, for a fair assortment of genres, artists, era's,,, they are a decent collection.

Ok, so far no one seems to be much of a fan of the Monster Hits. The full set of 159 discs-about 2500 songs is being offered for $500. What would you buy instead? I really need to spend my money wisely. If I could get the entire set for $130 or even $150 I would buy them in a minute. Thanks

I would spend $500 on custom discs that people are asking for instead of a library that is going to duplicate half or more of what you already have most likely.

Funny Lonman, you mentioned the Jackson Brown, Tom Petty disc and that is one disc I really want whether I get the MH collection or not.

I originally only got it for I Need To Know - Tom Petty, didn't even know it had JB tunes on it until I got it - that was an extra bonus for sure.

I only have 1 MH discs (1040), and I got it for "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend," because I didn't have that on any other disc (this was at a time when I never considered getting a Custom Disc). There are a few other oldie classics on that disc. Over the years, I think that disc has gotten used 3 or 4 times. Quality-wise. It's OK/usable.

FYI the Tom Petty and Jackson Browne tracks all sound exactly the same as those released on the "Killer Karaoke" label. You can still find those disks too I believe.

Depending on your library it's still most likely going to duplicate most of what you have already.

I have 3 or 4 of them but they don't get played very often except the Tom Petty/Jackson Browne disc. I only bought that one after reading another post I seen about a certain song that I also wanted. If you are looking for that Tom Petty disc I bought one off of ebay I think it was $12.00. I would not buy the whole series for 500.00 not worth it IMHO.

Every manu has some that are better and some that are not better. You take your chances with any disc you buy.

I know if we could get the complete (or mostly complete) MH collection for a decent price we would get it in a heart beat but $500 is not it. We would not even pay that for a foundation set of SC. Thom looks for and finds deals on stuff.
