Latshaw Systems
Today marked the beginning of the second half of 2012, and also marks our first of two expansions to our business this year. The LatshawSystems and SongBooksLive web sites in Los Angeles were offline for about 3 minutes this afternoon while we migrated 7 years of data from our old SQL Server 2005 database to the new SQL Server 2012 database. This was done not only to get the database up to the next level of performance, but it also brings it in line with our new database server in London, which will be used for the upcoming iCroons.com site. Sometime this week, we will announce a new page on the Latshaw site where resellers can purchase bulk license packs of our software products at a discount. These new license packs will include new "Retail License Keys", which, when resold, users who purchase them through resellers can then turn them into personalized licenses like you all currently have. Up until now, all licenses had to be purchased through us directly, and although we've been asked by resellers in the past to implement such a distribution system, we've previous resisted. After meeting with representatives from various karaoke resellers at the recent summit in Nashville, it was decided to move forward and open up our products to other markets. Resellers will be obligated to resell licenses at the same price they are available through our web site, so you current users won't ever be lured away to purchasing our products elsewhere. This endeavour is only intended for getting our products in front of customers who aren't yet aware of our products and will only help us expand and have the resources to continue to bring you more products and services.
