I'm going to do karaoke at a fellow KJ's party(with just a handful of guests) today as a professional courtesy, and to let him experience my new Bose L1 w/2 B1system.

Should be fun!

No Karaoke here tonight. We are strictly DJ this evening for our counties fireworks. About 2,000 people will be in attendance. Yes, I will use this opportunity to market my services

My regular club actually closes for the day so I have the day completely off. Just wrapped some yard work. About to start prepping the fireworks display for the guests tonight. I loaded up over at one of the local native american reservation firework stands with some good stuff.

To be fortunate enough to derive an income from a source as fulfilling as karaoke music has got to be as close to heaven as we can get here on earth!

we have 1 regular show that will be paid tonight...other than that we are cleaning up after being flooded by TS Debby. We were going to do the city's karaoke for the street party and fireworks but that was cancelled because of the severe flooding as well.

that kinda sucks, working for regular pay on a federal holiday.....

my contracts specify that if a karaoke weekly gig falls on a specific holiday i get that day off, unless they want to pay an addition $100 to cover holiday pay.

it's only 4 days:
4th july
thanksgiving - usually closed anyways
xmas eve
xmas day - i don't work no matter what.
new years eve

no one has ever had an issue with it and usually have a band playing anyways.

they all know that i'd rather be spending time doing family holidays and they all respect that.

man karaoke at my uncles was great, had like 20 kids in the pools swimming and listened to music. didn't do any karaoke at all......
