I've posted this a few other threads, but thought it was important to owners, so here it is in it's own topic.

For those that don't know, Chartbuster is now out of business.

I emailed CompuHost about the KJ Media Pro HD, and here's some key points of their response:

1) Chartbuster will cease supporting the system, effective May 10, 2012.

2) The KJ Media Pro HD will offer access to the DigiTrax library at some point in the near future, and will honor outstanding credit, except....

3) Everyone should withdraw their credit BEFORE the May 10, 2012 date. Only credits withdrawn to your local drive will be honored. All credits residing on the Chartbuster accounting system after May 10 will be forfieted.

4) CompuHost BOUGHT the rights to the KJ Media Pro, and will manage it from now on. This could mean MULTIPLE SONG VENDORS, and support for new releases!! The system might actually improve!!

Better news than I expected!!

Have you heard any updates as to when or if the hard drive can be used?

I inquired in an email to CH & they responded that it WILL be available again - they hope to get more manus involved as well plus any legalities that still may be involved, but have no set time frame they can give at this point.

It works now. I've been using it and used it 3 times Friday night. Since I already own the KJMP and have available credits, I've been able to keep going. I just pulled all my credits from online.

There is a risk involved, by having my credits offline, if my computer is lost, stolen, is electrocuted, kidnapped, killed, dies of natural causes, or reset to it's factory state, I'm at totally at the mercy of digitrax as to whether they will reimburse me. But all us owners were instructed to get our credits offline, so I am anxiously waiting for the day I can put the majority of them back online and get whatever new songs will be available.

The question is when we will be able to buy credits again, and when will we get new updates.
