Post subject:  Lessons from a 9 year old KJ
This is part of a speech my grandson wrote and gave at school last year entitled "What I have learned doing karaoke shows"

1.Always keep your promises, put on your shows even if you want to go play with your friends.

2.Always put your system away where it belongs that way everything is there when you need it.

3.Don't spend all the money you make save some so you can fix things when they break.

4.Be nice, treat all your singers special because they will want to come and sing again.

5.Don't let anybody play with your system, they might break it.

6.Dress nice, people treat you better and listen more if you look nice.

7.Spend some money on new songs people want every month.

8.Keep track of all the money you spend for your shows in your notebook.

9.Follow the rules so people want you to come back.

10. Have fun and smile so everyone will catch the good mood.

He received second place in the school. If I can find the entire speech I will post the rest...this was just the part my daughter filmed on her phone. I am very proud of my grandson and think he has learned some great life lessons.

I am very proud :D I have 7 (soon to be 8 grandchildren). They all have different interests we nurture, Angel has enjoyed karaoke since he was a toddler and even appeared in a couple of TV commercials for venues starting at age 3. He has learned so much from "his business" that has helped him in school and helped him grow. I will help and encourage him as long as he wishes to be a KJ :lol:
