I'll keep it simple, my wife and I had a great time. Awesome host/singer, fantastic, fun bunch of customers, great song selection, and sweet sounding system. No surprises, as I had figured, and I hate to sound so cliche', but he's the typical, give you the shirt off his back kinda guy. A good dude, with skills, talents, and a great sense of humor. Thanks Bob....

Sounds like it was a great time. Ripman, I'm sure you were just as impressed with Johnny as he was with your show. What a great couple Johnny and his wife. Kiki and I had the pleasure of hosting for them a couple of times. Johnny and Karen, miss you two, and looking forward to meeting up with you again. Rip, IF we ever get some time, well, let's just say, ya never know!!!! Good post.

Maybe no surprise to Johnny but I had no idea who he was, until after he had sung 2 or 3 songs (very small crowd Friday) I went out to ask him a question and he mentioned this forum somewhat casually and that's when 2 + 2 = 4 got into my thick skull! I was at a loss for words for a few seconds!

Having him and Karen show up at one of my shows was the highlight of my weekend and made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! I sure hope we get to hook up again, planning my next duet with him lol!!! And by the way, Johnny is a great singer and has one of those silky smooth voices, a real honest to goodness crooner!


Thank you for making the 3 plus hour trip to visit.

My wife shot some video, and I can put it on my youtube, then link it........ :lol: I don't know though, I've put on about 25lbs over the last several months. Walmart security stopped me as I was leaving the other day......thought I was trying to steal a basket ball under my shirt...... :lol: ...plus the camera adds another 10lbs...... :) .....besides, nobody would wanna see it anywho.....

Here's another from Friday, this is a cheap camera, that I borrowed from my daughter(I have a more expensive one, which is broken.... :lol: figures).....anyway, I'm impresssed it sounded pretty decent, she said it cost 150 bucks new....here's the Ripman's first song of the night

Well, if there wasn't much interest in our post to begin with, my solo should have squashed whatever interest was left..... :lol:

So on the "Beatles" note :) I was wondering some of the funny names/nick names you have for yourselves or singers etc. We have 2 older gentleman that love singing the Everly Brothers.....We call them the "Elderly Brothers" lol
