I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and grew up in a small town (mostly relatives) Mesquite, Nevada. It has really grown since I moved away. It's a regular little city now. It wasn't even on the map in my day. Then I moved to Bakersfield, California. I lived there for about 20 years. My husband and I now live in St Louis, Missouri. We've been here about 5 months now, bought a little house and work our butts off fixing it up together. We're having a lot of fun doing a lot of hard work and we love it here in Missouri. |

That is soooooooooooo strange Wannabe Quote: My husband and I now live in St Louis, Missouri. We've been here about 5 months now, bought a little house and work our butts off fixing it up together. We're having a lot of fun doing a lot of hard work and we love it here in Missouri.
I was born in in the land of tulips and cheese, (for the un-educated ones that is Holland). I met my dear wife (whom I love very much, please take note world) in Bakersfield, CA, and..................... My wife and I now live in St Louis, Missouri. We've been here about 5 months now, bought a little house and work our butts off fixing it up together. We're having a lot of fun doing a lot of hard work and we love it here in Missouri. |

AllStar & wannabe -> OOOOhhhh - just spooky! Okay my tale - (since everyone wants to know [yeah, right!]) But I digress... I was born many years ago in the land of flowers by the bay of pirates. (aka Tampa, Florida) - My family moved to northern Virginia when I was 6. I lived there until I joined the US Army. - Then I was stationed all over the southeast (never overseas like all my friends.) - After 4 years (when I was released.) I moved to southern California. I lived there for many more years... - Approximately four years ago I moved back to the east coast and now reside in Charm City (aka Baltimore, Maryland) Where my better & I are restoring a 1920's home to it's original (plus some) glory - alot of work but it is fun... There hope that satisfies some curiousity... Phill |

Welllll hrmmm..... I was born in Eugene, Oregon....and then flip flopped between Northern California and Oregon for most of my childhood. Finally settled in Oregon AGAIN and lived there til I was 16....then off to Alaska we went! Lived in Alaska for 2 years (yep, went to high school with HeatherDavis, another wonderful SS singer!)....then as soon as I graduated...I started travelling to meet internet ppl! Went to Canada, England and settled in Norway! Got married, my first daughter was born there...then realized what i'd been missing...my FREEDOM (God Bless the USA!!!)....so back to the US we went..landing in Sacramento, California. My husband passed away in 98....I met my fiancee John...we moved to where we are now, halfway between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe (45 minute trip!)...another daughter was born (and will be 4 in 2 weeks) and here I stay, up in the mountains....and gettin hungry now for pork'n'beans for some odd reason! |

Well, I'll join this thread. My family has moved around a little. I was born in New Braunfels, Texas. As a child, my family moved to Yoder, Oregon where my father was foreman of the cattle ranch we lived on. Then as a teenager my family moved to Loma Rica, California. I met my husband there and for the first 4 years we went back 'n forth from California to Oregon (kinda drifting). Finally settled on Oregon, then decided to try going back to Texas. Didn't like the area of Texas, missed home too much, and firmly planted ourselves back in Oregon. And here we still are. So where I'm truly "from" is a few different places I guess. |

Then Moved quite a few times After HS ... blah blah blah ... errr Now I ask you ALL ... Isn't it such a wonderful thing... when You/We sing or play a song, ANY SONG,... how it personally ... sends You/Us to a Location NO ONE has ever been yet? Our own unique Place on/in this soulful Universe. And can take us ALL to our SAME places... *Applaud US All for our very OWN unique-ness!* Pretty kool entries Folks! |

First Bro, I'd like to congratulate you for this intervention. This certainly brings everyone closer. Due to my age, my story would be too long for this thread, so I'll just make it as short as possible. I was born and raised in San Juan,Puerto Rico right at the end of the Second World War. Lived there until Dec. 1974 when the band I was playing with came to the States as a travelling top 40 act. We did it for 4 years with just 2 weeks of vacation and working 6 nights a week all over the South/North East. That was the experience of a lifetime. On Dec. 1978 we decided to give it a break. I got married again and lived in Dothan, Alabama for about 10 years. Sadly, got divorced and moved back to Puerto Rico. After 9 years I was offered a job right here in Central Florida where I've been since 1998. I love it here. Have a full time job with Disney World. Karaoke and SS keep me very well entertained. There's a lot more in between. Enough to write a book but no time for that right now. Thank you so much for putting up with me and I appreciate all I have learned from all of you. |

Hmmm, there would be no way to remember each place.... usually less than 6 months at any particular school and, nope, folks were not members of the armed services, I think they were just trying to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!! Born in Iowa - lots of places in-between Graduated High School in Westminster, CO. Married to Richard in MO moved to ARK moved to OK where we have lived for approximately two decades.... I guess I realized that I have to make my own rainbow!!! Susie |

I was born in Essex, UK (yep, a REAL Essex girl, for those of you who know what that is ), grew up in Essex in a seaside town called Southend... Moved to London for a job, lived in the city for about a year, hated every minute of it, moved back to Southend... And I'm still there, 10 minutes walk from the seafront, and I can smell the salt in the air when I open my window... Bliss! |

I was born in International Falls, Minnesota..Ice box of the nation..lived there for the first 26 years of my life (except for a couple years away at school), then moved south to Grand Rapids, Minnesota (2 hours south ; ) and have been here ever since. I have 4 children and 5 grandchildren that are all living here in Grand Rapids. . . I am one lucky mom/grandmom. Have a full time job, but still find time for doing a lot of fun things! Like Singer Showcase Have some family in California, Colorado and Louisiana, but the rest are still in Minnesota..so I make a trip out of state each year to see family and the rest of the year we Minnesotians are close enough that we travel to see each other...I have an amazing family..we get together to celebrate whatever we can think of..and of course sing a little karaokee Patty |

Born and (mostly) raised in Kansas City and the Lake of The Ozarks, Mo, escaped to the US Air Farce where I was ball n chained to TEXAS!! AUuuuuuuuuuuuuugghh! (just kiddin'! I actually LOVED Austin!) My mom moved up to Oregon when I was twelve, and with my grandparents raising me back in MO (and my dad's side of the family at the Lake), I always wanted to live in Oregon. My grandma worked for TWA, and we got terrific flight passes. My brother and I got to fly up there to see my mom, and I swore I'd live here when I got the chance. Attaining Eagle scout you can guess that with all the camping and hiking I used to do, I'd love it there! ! Well, I lived in about twelve of the 50 states... and nothing other than MO or Oregon ever seemed like home. After working in Atlanta, Georgia, for Delta Airlines, I renewed my interest in Oregon, and finally moved up here in 1995. Been here ever since. My interest in karaoke took off in 1996 and in 1997, I created my own company to do it with! ! Here I is! matt |
