In case anyone is interested, the DigiTrax site is now live. Thin at the moment but at least there's finally something, and maybe we can start getting some hard info rather than just speculation. http://www.digitraxkaraoke.com/edit: Forgot to add the link.

Crazy how they don't offer any information on their website. Every link requires an e-mail address or more so they can get back to you -- except the report a pirate link of course.

The Hits of the Month link seems to suggest downloads. It say instant digital delivery. AKA download. I thought that was a no-no.

I wouldn't consider the site "hot" by a long shot. As Earthling pointed out, there is nothing to do or see there other than submitting your email info and a pirate report. Not a story of what they do, how they do it, why it makes a smart decision to use them etc. Not live at all - it's been to long to have nothing in place, so this placebo is only a placeholder.

I got emails for everything that required an email. It may not be on the site yet, but they tell you exactly what is going on in each section.

How dare they ask for your e-mail. Why that should be criminal. Geesh the things people complain about.

I don't call that "live" by a longshot. Even their old static screen allowed you to submit an email address.

I submitted my email and they send an email back with a PDF of the same data that was posted by someone last week to the forum.
Basically call Greg or Gretchen to get more info. I called Greg (interestingly it is the exact same number he has while at Chartbuster) and left a message to the affect of -
"Greg, I bought a couple 12000+ drives from you last year. That plus my other discs and I don't see any reason to go wit DigiTrax but I am willing to listen to your sales pitch."
no call back yet....

I understand that your purpose here is to attempt to mock those with whom you have had disagreements in other topics, but don't you find it odd that after all of the teasers, and the beta testing, and the big announcements of a grand new state-of-the-art way of doing karaoke, and the cutting edge technology, and the coming soon webpage, that when they finally unveil their website there is no information on it? I have no problem offering up my e-mail for information, I already did that on the first day they announced the new company. I would be comfortable giving even you my e-mail address. In your haste to critisize, you failed to notice that my comment was not a complaint, it was an observation. I am surprised that the grand unveiling reveals nothing.

DigiTrax can be integrated into existing hosting software - which should mean that with a simple add-on, you can continue to use your existing software (assuming it's one of the many compatible ones listed). The only thing different is that their music will come up in your search results. Also, it requires just a "brief" internet connection once per month. I don't know how that would be possible without local storage. Which begs the question: what is the bit rate of the available songs? And I thought SC was on board with this???

Jeez, it says on the brochure that the launch is on the 7th. I was hoping to sign up for a new show on the 8th but no response...

well I hate to say this, but I am really hoping their initial release is a huge flop. Then maybe they'll be forced to reconsider the price, or at least offer a few options.
That being said, I do like the idea that they will at least be offering custom CDG discs. Depending on how much they charge per track, I may get a couple that way.
One feature that i failed to mention that I was actually impressed with is the search database for lyrics, so you could just type in the line of a song, and it would pick the correct title. Didn't work 100% of the time, but it was a hell of a lot easier to use than most of the lyric search engines i have come across

Do you know if you have to subscribe to their monthly Cloud Service in order to be able to purchase Custom CDGs (and pay extra for that as well), or is that a separate service DT is offering?

They aren't selling/making custom discs. They provide (or sell) the software for you to create your own custom discs from their tracks.

...So do this mean that we will no longer be able to purchase new updates from the following Karaoke Manufacturers, without joining the cloud? Just read the following at the Digitrax Site: "Karaoke Killer – No Filler! Top monthly hits from every genre and all the top karaoke labels, including All-Star Karaoke, Karaoke.com, Mr. Entertainer, SBI, Sunfly and much more."

Madmusicone....I know you can still order custom discs from all-star and individual discs for import from the overseas manufactures at this time.

I don't see any reason why one could not take a track purchased online, burn it to disc, and then, as part of the label, put the invoice/order number on the label as proof of purchase.
I just checked KaraokeVersion.com and SelectATrack.com and both maintain your history along with an order/invoice number.
Just Print the Following -
Track #1- Artist Title Order# Track #2- Artist Title Order# Track #3- Artist Title Order# Track #4- Artist Title Order# Track #5- Artist Title Order#
etc....

Let's try to be fair about this. They are a new company just starting out, doing something fairly new and it's a large and involved project I would imagine. It's going to take them some time to get things together. It could take months more for them to pull things together.
No, I'm not a cheerleader and no, I don't have any affiliation and no, I don't know anything more than anyone else knows. This is just my personal observations and thoughts on this. They will be operational when they are ready, not when we think they should be ready to do business. It's not something to get up in arms about and speculating about what they're doing and why and when doesn't amount to a hill of beans. I'm sure all will be revealed in good time.

Even though and at the present time, I have no intentions of joining because I'm fairly happy with what I have.
